If you want to change your life, you must take radical action. You must be fully invested in yourself and the change that you want to make. It may cost you friends, money or comfort but it is going to be worth it. There is nothing worst than being stuck in a situation that is making you unhappy.
A desire to change is the first step. We recognize that we are no longer in alignment with where we are at in life which makes us unhappy. As humans, we take actions based on two emotions: pain or pleasure. A desire to change would indicate feelings of pain and suffering. We are no longer comfortable with our situation and that leads to thoughts of pain, discomfort and unhappiness. We think by achieving this change, it is going to bring us pleasure, which is true… until we want something different.
If you want something different, you must do something that you’ve never done before to achieve something that you’ve never had. Achieving a life style that you’ve never experienced is going to require a mindset that you’ve never had.
In order to change your life, you must change your thoughts since thoughts become things. Unfortunately, our thoughts are automatic and are based on what we have previously experienced. The brain automatically looks for similarities and finds what is familiar and comfortable. This is why it is so difficult to change.
The good news is that we can change our thoughts and even reprogram our brains to make the change we want. To change thoughts and reprogram the brain, we need to either experience a traumatic event or use the power of repetition. The power of repetition is more pleasant experience than a traumatic event.
To use the power of repetition we can use tools such as affirmations and visualization.
Affirmations are goals or statements of reinforcement, of the new thoughts, that you want to program into your subconscious. Write down your affirmations and say them out load daily. It is better to say them out load and in front of a mirror. Do this daily for at least 30 days.
Visualization is the other tool that you can use to change your thoughts. Take a moment everyday to visualize the change that you want to make. Visualize yourself living the life that want with the changes that you want to make. Pay attention to how this is going to make you feel. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what is real and what is not. By visualizing your desired change, you plant the seed in your mind. Once you plant the seed, the mind will look for ways to make the change from subconscious visualization to reality.
Change is going to be uncomfortable and it’s going to make you question your thoughts and behavior but it is worth it.

Without discomfort, we can’t grow. Just as a seed cracks opens and grows into a flower, you will too. It’s going to be uncomfortable and you are going to want to give up and resort back to your old, comforting ways. Don’t do it. The change you see will be worth it.
You have one life and you don’t have to spend it being unhappy. Do what makes you happy. Become the person or change that you envision in your mind. Thoughts become things. We are the creator of our experience.
