The way you begin your day, sets your day. If you can get your mind and body ready to start the day, the rest of the day will be great. Some of the ways that I like to start my day are:
- Meditate – Meditation is so beneficial for your mind. It allows you to be in the present moment to observe your thoughts. You are able to observe your body and what it’s feeling. Meditation produces clarity which leads to more productive day.
- Eat something healthy – High vibrational foods like fruits and veggies give you the energy that you need though out the day. Low vibrational foods like fried and processed foods lower your energy and can sometimes make your sick and tired.
- Avoid checking your phone/social media – Check your phone 30 minutes after waking up. It may be difficult to do but it’s necessary. A post can set you off and you”ll be a negative mood for the day. Take the time to come into alignment and quiet your mind through mediation. Being in alignment will allow you to tackle the stress the day may bring.
- Drink water – Drinking water is so beneficial to your organs. Drinking a glass of water when you wake up helps to speed up metabolism and it also wakes up the body to help with digestion. Drink at least 64 ounces/8 cups of water per day.
- Affirmations – Affirmations are a way to set your goals by believing that they have already come true. The brain doesn’t know the difference between what is true and what isn’t. Affirmations re-enforce beliefs allowing you to tell yourself a different story. Once we start telling ourselves a different story, we are able to change our beliefs and ultimately our reality.
- Gratitude – Taking a few moments each day to be grateful elevates your mood. You can start with the small things. Be grateful for that cup of coffee in your hand or the pets that greet you in the morning. Have an attitude of gratitude.
